If your child is in the higher grades, you can expect an earlier start to the school year. The notification clearly states that classes for 9th, 10th, Intermediate, O Level, and A Level—across all public and private schools in the province—will officially begin from Monday, August 18, 2025. For younger learners, the summer break will be a little longer. The notification specifies that classes from Grade 1 to Grade 8 (and all grades below) will resume their academic activities later, from Monday, September 1, 2025.
