Final Call for Submission: Punjab Education Department Urges Compliance on Pending DPC Cases

The Directorate of Public Instruction (Secondary Education) in Punjab, Lahore, has issued a final and most urgent reminder to all District Education Officers (SE) regarding unresolved conditional cases from the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meetings held in August 2024. The communication, dated Lahore, 2025, stresses the critical need for immediate action to address deficiencies in the promotion cases of Secondary School Teachers (SST) in the General Cadre.

The DPC meetings, which took place on August 19, 2024 (for female candidates) and August 21, 2024 (for male candidates), were convened to consider promotions to BS-17 positions such as Headmaster, Deputy Headmaster, Subject Specialist, and Assistant Director. However, numerous cases were marked as "subject to" or conditional due to missing documents or unresolved issues. Despite previous reminders, these cases remain pending, prompting this stern final notice.

District Education Officers are now directed to submit all required deficiencies **within three days** from the receipt of this letter. The department emphasizes that this timeline is strict and non-negotiable. The notice explicitly warns that any failure to comply will result in personal accountability for the responsible officers, with potential consequences for the delays.

This letter is not just a routine follow-up but a time-bound directive underscoring the urgency of the matter. The phrasing—"MOST URGENT," "TIME LIMIT CASE," and "FINAL REMINDER"—highlights the critical nature of the situation. The department makes it clear that the window for submission is closing imminently, and any further delay could jeopardize the promotion process for the affected educators.

A copy of the letter has also been forwarded to the Secretary of the School Education Department and the Chief Executive Officer (DEA) of Punjab, requesting their oversight to ensure strict compliance. This step indicates the higher authorities’ involvement and the seriousness with which this matter is being treated.

For education professionals and administrators across Punjab, this serves as a crucial update: the education department is taking definitive steps to streamline promotions and ensure that all pending cases are resolved promptly. It also reiterates the importance of adherence to administrative protocols and timely submission of required documents.

Educators and officers involved in these processes should act immediately to avoid any adverse outcomes. The department’s message is clear: compliance is mandatory, and accountability will be enforced.
