Notification regarding School timing due to heatwave (21-05-2025 to 27-05-2025)

 Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

In light of the extreme heatwave predicted across the region from 21st May 2025 to 27th May 2025, the school Education Department has decided to adjust the school timings to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff. The safety of our school community is our top priority, and the Government of the Punjab have taking proactive measures to minimize the risks associated with prolonged exposure to high temperatures.

Adjusted School Timings

To avoid the peak heat hours, the revised timings for all classes will be as follows:

Morning Session: 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM

No classes will be held in the afternoon.

This adjustment will allow students to attend school during the cooler hours of the day and return home before the temperature rises to its peak. All extracurricular activities, sports, and outdoor events scheduled during this period will be postponed or rescheduled to a later date.

Precautions to Beat the Heat

The Government urge all parents and students to take the following precautions to stay safe during the heatwave:

Stay Hydrated: Ensure your child carries a water bottle to school and drinks water frequently.

Wear Light Clothing: Encourage your child to wear loose, light-colored, and breathable clothing.

Use Sun Protection: Apply sunscreen and send a hat or cap to protect against direct sunlight.

Avoid Outdoor Activities: Minimize outdoor play or exposure to the sun during peak heat hours.

Recognize Heat-Related Illnesses: Be aware of symptoms like dizziness, nausea, or headaches, which could indicate heat exhaustion or heatstroke.

Online Learning Support

For students who may find it difficult to attend school due to the heat, we will provide online learning resources and assignments via our school portal. Teachers will be available for virtual support during designated hours to ensure that learning continues uninterrupted.

Parental Cooperation

The Government of the Punjab School Education Department, Lahore also request parents to cooperate with the school during this period:

Ensure your child leaves home on time to avoid delays.

Notify the school if your child is unwell or unable to attend classes.

Monitor your child’s health and encourage them to rest adequately at home.

Moreover, the Govt. of the Punjab School Education Department will continue to monitor the weather conditions and provide updates if there are any further changes to the schedule. Parents are advised to check the official websites, official social media channels, and SMS notifications for the latest information.

The school administration appreciates your understanding and support as we navigate this challenging situation. Together, we can ensure that our students remain safe, healthy, and focused on their education.
