CEO DEA Leadership Change Notification – Rawalpindi & Sheikhupura Districts


The Government of the Punjab, through its School Education Department, issued a formal notification on 21st June 2025, from the Punjab Civil Secretariat, Lahore, announcing key administrative changes within the department.

Key Highlights of the Notification

  1. Relieving of Mr. Aman Ullah Khan (CEO DEA Rawalpindi):
    The services of Mr. Aman Ullah Khan, who was serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the District Education Authority (DEA), Rawalpindi, have been placed at the disposal of the School Education Department with immediate effect. This implies that Mr. Khan is no longer serving in his previous capacity and stands relieved from his duties forthwith. This supersedes the earlier notification dated 20th June 2025.

  2. Transfer of Mr. Tariq Mehmood to Rawalpindi:
    In place of Mr. Khan, Mr. Tariq Mehmood, who was serving as District Education Officer (M-EE) in District Sheikhupura, has now been transferred and posted as CEO (DEA) Rawalpindi. This transfer is also with immediate effect, ensuring a seamless transition of responsibilities in the district education leadership.

Authority and Signatory

This notification has been issued under the authority of Mr. Khalid Nazir Watto (PAS), who serves as the Secretary to the Government of Punjab, School Education Department. The notification is also signed by Mr. M. Mohsin Anwar, Section Officer (SE-I), further confirming its authenticity and procedural finalization.
